Private Cemeteries

The following cemeteries are managed privately, but Public Works provides some information on them as a public service.

In the 1930's, the Work Projects Administration (WPA), a program that came out of "The New Deal," funded a Veteran's Grave Registration program.  Workers visited public and private cemeteries across the country and mapped the location of veteran grave sites.  This information was compiled in 1940, so the records linked below do not include information after 1940.

The following linked plan documents are in PDF and DJVU format, which requires the installation of free viewers.  DJVU format is higher quality.
