Lap Swimming & Reservations

Beginning May 15:

  • Currently the pool will be open for lap swim, weekends only (Saturday & Sunday). Due to increased cleaning protocols, the facility will be open from 9:00am - 2:00pm.
  • You can call during those hours to check on lap lane availability: 413-587-1046.
  • We will only be offering lap swimming lanes at this time, no open swimming or programs, 2 people per lane, for 45 minutes each hour.
  • The fee is $5.00 for resident and $8.00 for non-resident. (Resident is someone who resides in Northampton, Florence, or Leeds)

Only lap swimmers will be allowed in the pool area, we are unable to accommodate spectators, guests, or children.

We ask that you to reserve your time to swim through our online registration, see below. To check on last minute availability, you can call the pool during open hours at 413-587-1046.

Once school ends for the Summer, June 18th, we hope to be able to re-open the facility on weekdays and weekends with expanded operating hours and programs.

To accommodate all our patrons, you will only be able to register for one swim lap time per day. You will only be able to register for a lap lane for the upcoming weekend, starting on the Saturday prior to that weekend. Each Saturday morning the system will be reset for the upcoming weekend’s reservations.
You can call the pool, 413-587-1046, to see if there are any open spots for the current weekend where you will need to pay with cash or check (we are unable to process credit cards or debit cards).

If you are a member or have taken one of our programs, you already have an online account. Call Parks & Recreation office, 587-1040 or email Sandra at  sgross@northamptonma.gov, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, if you need to reset your login or password or if you do not have online access and would like to reserve a time slot.

State and City COVID Protocols will be followed:

  • Face coverings required at all times while not swimming.
  • Maintain 6 feet physical distance.
  • Locker rooms are available.
    • Cleansing showers will be required before swimming (State Regulation).
    • We recommend you come prepared to swim.
  • Travel around the pool will be counter clockwise. Signage and arrows will be posted.
  • Swimmers will be required to self certify prior to arrival at the facility.
    • Self certify form is in an email when you register for a time to swim.
      • If anyone has COVID symptoms we ask that you call the pool desk to allow others to swim.

As with everything that we have done in the last year, things can change very quickly. We really appreciate your patience through this last year and are very anxious to get the facility operating regularly.
