Announcement of a public hearing concerning the Northampton Capital Improvement Program for FY2021-FY2025 - Thursday, June 18, 2020
In accordance with The Charter of Northampton, Massachusetts, Article 7 Finance and Fiscal Procedures, Section 7-5: Capital Improvement Program, (b) Public Hearing. BY ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL, the Northampton City Council will hold a public hearing via remote participation on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. The City Council will consider the Capital Improvement Program for FY2021-FY2025, and hear all persons who wish to be heard thereon. Instructions for accessing the public hearing will be posted on the June 18, 2020 City Council agenda which can be found on the City of Northampton website at www.northamptonma.gov. The City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH The Charter of Northampton, Massachusetts, Article 7 Finance and Fiscal Procedures, Section 7-4: Action on the Operating Budget, and BY ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL, a Public Hearing will be held by remote participation to consider the Proposed FY2021 budget commencing on June 3, 2020 at 5 p.m. and continuing on June 4, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The City Council will hear all persons who wish to be heard thereon. The FY21 budget is available for review on the City of Northampton website at www.northamptonmagov.

Public Hearing on 20.048 National Grid/Verizon New England Pole Petition for Park Hill Road (Petition #25763215 - two petitions)
In accordance with the provisions of Section 22, Chapter 166 of the General Laws, a public hearing will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 @ 7:15 p.m. on the petition of National Grid/Verizon New England to erect poles and wires upon, along, under or across one or more public ways. Pole Petition #25763215 - Park Hill Road (two petitions).

Approve Pole Petitions - 20.048A and 20.048B (Both Petition #25763215), National Grid/Verizon New England Pole Petition for Park Hill Road (two separate petitions, same #)
Process note: Due to apparent conflicts with public shade trees, the DPW has recommended the following conditions:
- A submittal should be made to the Department of Public Works (DPW), attn. Tree Warden, requesting removal and/or pruning of trees affected by the work included in these petitions.
- A valid trench permit approved by the DPW must be in place before work commences and will not be issued until shade tree conflicts are resolved.
