Residential Buildings
In September 2011, the City, in partnership with the Center for EcoTechnology (CET), launched a small pilot Northampton Leading the Way residential program that is offering Northampton residents the assistance of an Energy Concierge – a trained expert to provide step-by-step guidance on how to capture savings from home energy improvements. Municipal Buildings
The City has recently completed a $6.5 million capital improvement project that will reduce overall municipal energy use by more than 20% and will be paid for through energy savings – NOT taxpayer dollars. By the end of fiscal year 2012 the city had:

- Lowered annual greenhouse gas emissions by 3,300,000 lbs. of CO2
