Driving Directions

From the North: Take 91 S to exit 20 (Route 5, King Street). Go through 5 traffic lights. The 6th set of lights is the intersection of Main St. Turn right on Main Street. City Hall will be about a block-and-a-half on your left, on the corner of Main Street and Crafts Avenue.

From the South: Take 91 N to exit 18. Take a left off the exit ramp and travel down Pleasant Street approximately one mile until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main Street. City Hall will be about a block-and-a-half on your left, on the corner of Main Street and Crafts Avenue.

Where to Park

Once you arrive in downtown Northampton, you may find short term parking (one-hour meters) lining both sides of Main Street. Long-Term parking (up to 10-hours) can be found at the municipal parking lots on Strong Avenue, at the Maplewood Shops, the Round House lot, and the John Gare Parking Garage. Smaller lots are also located off Masonic Street, Armory Street, and Pleasant Street, and metered parking runs along the side streets that run off Main Street. The pakring meter rate on Main Street is 50 cents per hour, and the meters currently take quarters only. The hourly rate is lower in the long-term lots and parking garage.
