How to Register to Vote

The deadline to register to vote in the November 6th election has passed (Oct. 17th), however if you have questions please feel free to call the Northampton Registrar of Voters (413) 587-1290 or (413) 587-1291

If you will be away from the City of Northampton during voting (7am-8pm) hours on Election Day, November 6th, you may be eligible to vote absentee.

ALL VITAL RECORDS MUST BE REQUESTED IN ADVANCE. NO SAME DAY SERVICE.

TO HELP PREVENT IDENTITY THEFT, AS OF JANUARY 1, 2009, ALL VITAL RECORDS WILL BE ISSUED ON SECURITY PAPER.

SECURITY PAPER PREVENTS PHOTOCOPIES FROM BEING MADE.

The City Clerk holds and provides access to public records, vital statistics, and general information. The City Clerk's Office is the official filing agent for the City and accepts, files, records and supervises the issuance and collection of fees for various Commonwealth and City licenses. The City Clerk's Office is responsible for conducting elections in accordance with federal, state and city ordinances.
