About GIS
GIS is a global digital mapping system that we use to record the location of all infrastructure, above and below ground, in the City and its watersheds. Mapped features are linked to database information used to identify, characterize and maintain the City's assets.
Most of our infrastructure information isn't visible from the internet but at the Engineering Office on Locust St you can have full access to our GIS system, an enormous number of scanned engineering plans and engineers on staff to help you find what you need.
