GIS is a global digital mapping system that we use to record the location of all infrastructure, above and below ground, in the City and its watersheds. In addition, map features are linked to database information used to identify and maintain the City's assets.

All our infrastructure information is available to the public on an as-needed basis. Our kiosk computer in the Engineering Dept gives full access to our GIS system, as well as an enormous number of scanned engineering plans.
