Northampton Farmers Markets

Northampton is home to four farmers markets offering fresh produce, cut flowers, plants, dairy and meat products all grown locally. Three markets operate spring - fall and one operates during the winter.

Northampton Saturday Market

Hours of Operation: Saturdays, 7:00am to 1:00pm

2012 Season: April 28 - November 10

Location: Gothic Street at the corner of Main Street, downtown Northampton.

Parking and Access: Parking available in all downtown parking lots. Adjacent parking in the Courthouse parking lot on Gothic Street and in the nearby James House Parking Lot on Gothic Street. PVTA buses also serve downtown.

Northampton Tuesday Market

Hours of Operation: Tuesdays 1:30pm - 6:30pm

2012 Season: May 1 - November 20

Location: Plaza behind Thorne's Marketplace, 150 Main Street.

Parking and Access: Parking available in all downtown parking lots. Adjacent parking in the municipal parking garage or in the Armory Street parking lot. PVTA buses also serve downtown.

Florence Wednesday Market

Hours of Operation: Wednesdays, 2:00pm to 6:00pm

Location: Florence Civic Center parking lot in downtown Florence, at Main St. and Park Street.

Parking and Access: Parking available in Civic Center parking lot and on adjacent streets. PVTA buses also serve downtown Florence.

2011-2012 Season: Open until April 30, 2012.

Location: Thorne's Marketplace basement level, 150 Main Street.

Double Food Stamps Campaign

Access To Healthy Food For All

Northampton Farmers Markets in collaboration with Grow Food Northampton and the City of Northampton have initiated a fund raising campaign to double the value of food stamps at all Northampton Farmers Markets. The Northampton Farmers Markets (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday) will accept electronic benefit cards (EBT) and will increase the value of SNAP benefits at the markets up to double depending on the amount of funds raised and for as long as funds are available. The Tuesday Market initiated the program last year to great success. This year, the program is expanded to all three markets. Donations can be made in the following ways:

For the Tuesday Market:
Checks can be made out to Grow Food Northampton. On the memo line, please write: FoodStampsX2 gift. Mail checks to Grow Food Northampton, PO Box 849, Northampton, MA, 01061.

For Wednesday and Saturday Markets:
Checks can be made out to The City of Northampton. In the memo line please write: SNAP donation. Mail checks to City of Northampton Health Department, 212 Main St., Northampton, MA 01060.
