Northampton Center for the Arts

Western MA Regional Organizations

Arts Extension Service

Based at the University of Massachusetts AES offers training, conferences, and technical assistance in arts management, developing the creative economy, and strengthening arts based businesses.

Western Massachusetts Arts Alliance

Fosters community-based arts activity through building relationships and collaborations among diverse cultural organizations, artists, educators, and community groups. Information clearinghouse for arts listings, arts organizations, cultural tourism in the Pioneer Valley.

Statewide and National Organizations

ArtistLink

ArtistLink is a new collaborative effort to create a stable yet dynamic environment for Massachusetts artists. ArtistLink works with artists, artist groups, arts-minded organizations, real estate developers, municipalities, and other proponents to develop artist spaces. ArtistLink also promotes the artist agenda in the state’s larger housing and space debate.

Artists Foundation

A non-profit Massachusetts based organization that fosters the development of artists in all disciplines and works to improve the economic and social position of artists by advocating on public policy issues.

Arts Health Care Coalition

The Arts Health Care Coalition provides information on the new Health Care Reform Law and its benefits/impacts for arts and arts-related employers.

The Health Care Reform Law affects everyone. All Massachusetts residents over 18 years of age are required to have health insurance by December 31, 2007.

Health Care for Artists

This site is administered by the Artists Foundation. The Foundation has a 34 year history of working on artists' health care issues. This free site is for individual artists working in all disciplines to aid them in navigating the Massachusetts Health Care Reform Law, its requirements and programs, and the existing available health care options. This site is a resource for finding health care providers, health care resources and information, and health care advocacy organizations. Important proposed health care legislation is posted on this site. There is a glossary and key terms section for you to reference. This site also hosts a guide for Health Care Organizations and Advocacy Groups enrolling artists working in all disciplines into the Health Care Reform's options and existing health care options.

Massachusetts Cultural Council

MCC makes grants directly to non-profit cultural organizations, schools, communities, and individuals artists, through funding programs that use arts, science, and the humanities to build strong, diverse, livable communities.

Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities

Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities is a programming and grant-making organization that funds public humanities projects.

Non-Profit Finance Fund

The New England Office of NFF provides advisory and financial services to nonprofits of all types in Massachusetts. Services include: nonprofit business analysis, planning for managing assets, workshops and planning guides on facility and financial planning. NFF also offers facilities loans.

Culture Count

The New England Foundation for the Arts Culture Count database allows arts organizations, artists, and arts businesses to self enter your organization into the database. The database provides community cultural profiles and an online economic impact analysis tool.
