Tax Assistance for Northampton Seniors
Assistance with tax returns at the Northampton Council on Aging & Senior Center is available on Wednesdays, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., through April 14th. Every Wednesday morning between volunteers will be here to assist Northampton seniors (60 years and over) with their tax returns. This program is sponsored by the IRS and has volunteers supported by AARP. There is no cost for this service, but a voluntary contribution to the Northampton Council on Aging is gladly accepted. Seniors need to call the Council on Aging to make an appointment to have their income taxes done. Only basic tax returns are done. People with complicated tax needs should seek alternative assistance. Call the Senior Center at 587-1228 for more information.
