Cable Board Members

LEIGH BAILEY:
Prior to moving to Northampton in 2003, Leigh Bailey was European
Representative for AARP based in Paris. Earlier she served as senior vice
president, Health Care Communications, for Hill & Knowlton in Washington DC. and Brussels, and as director of Public Affairs for The Upjohn Company in Brussels. She joined Upjohn in 1976 at its headquarters in Kalamazoo, MI where she also served as a liaison to local community access TV from its inception, serving as an award-winning producer and host for a weekly public affairs program. She also worked as a radio and TV journalist for NPR, CBS and ABC affiliates in New Hampshire and Michigan.

ROBIN COOLBETH:
An eight-year resident of Northampton, Robin has worked on the UMASS campus for 10 years in one of the Counseling & Advising departments. During off hours, Robin enjoys the arts. For many years, she conducted lighting, set design, and stage management in community theater. Happy to be introduced to the Northampton cable station, she wrote, directed, and edited a video that was shown for many months on Northampton and Amherst cable access. Robin has also been on the Board of Directors of a Northampton art gallery and studio space.

TERI MORRIS:
Producer, videographer, editor, graphics operator, tape operator, overall freelancer in the television production world with over fifteen years of experience in the cable television industry. Learned the tricks of the trade at Northampton Community Television as an intern while studying at UMASS. Worked her way to the top as the station's Access Coordinator from 1993-2000, earning 2 Massachusetts Community Television awards, 2 Hometown Awards, and a Women in Cable and Telecommunications award for her work. Worked as a senior producer for AT&T 3's New England Emmy-award winning program, "Chowdah", from 2000-2003.

EMIKAN SUDAN:
Longtime community access producer with Amherst Community Television and Northampton Community Television. Recipient of the Hometown Video Award, a national competition for access programming. Received his BA from UMASS in visual arts and taught visual arts at the Holyoke Street School for seven years.

JAMES MCKEEVER:
Jim began his television career as an intern & part-time production
assistant at Northampton Community Television in 1987.
He was promoted to NCTV Access Coordinator & then NCTV Programing
Manager soon thereafter, and worked as the Western MA Programming
Manager until 1995. When AT&T created AT&T 3, Jim became the Regional Production Manager, overseeing the production and promotion of original programming for the 2.5 million subscriber channel. He made the move from Production to Marketing & Promotions, and was nominated for a New England Emmy for his work. As Marketing and Promotions Manager for AT&T3, Jim was responsible for the creation of key on-air marketing strategies, developing the look and presentation of the channel, and increasing viewership throughout New England. He is currently the Promotion Manager for abc40, responsible for all aspects of that station's promotions.

TERI ANDERSON:
Teri Anderson is the Mayor's Economic Development Coordinator and provides staff support to the CAAB. She assists the Mayor in formulating economic development policy for the City and manages economic development programs including: business assistance, retention, and recruitment; commercial/industrial site development; cultural tourism; and marketing of the City. She has over 20 years of municipal and regional planning experience. Teri sits on the Pioneer Valley Connect Steering Committee, a regional economic development effort to create an advanced telecommunications network wtih affordable, reliable and redundant high capacity broadband services throughout the Pioneer Valley.
