Swine Flu Information Available

Thu., May 28 The National Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations are that anyone who exhibits flu like symptoms (high fever) and fits the criteria below should be tested:

• have visited or lived in California, Texas, Kansas, New York or other places in the US where cases have been confirmed; or
• traveled recently to Mexico; or
• were in contact with persons who had febrile respiratory illness and were in one of the places above during the 7 days preceding their illness onset; or
• are hospitalized patients, have unusual/severe disease; or
• are potentially are part of a cluster or outbreak of respiratory disease
