The Northampton State Hospital Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) was created by legislation in 1994 upon closure of the State Hospital and when the State Legislature declared the Hospital surplus property making it available for redevelopment. In 2003, the City expanded the CAC membership beyond the legislative appointments to include neighborhood representation.
