FEMA Floodplain data are *not* suitable for Flood Elevation Certification. The FEMA Floodplain dataset was developed to cover a large area for *general* planning purposes only. Site-specific elevations needed for Flood Elevation Certification can only be determined by a Professional Land Surveyor ("PLS").
