Assessors and Zoning Maps
Zoning Maps are updated annually.
Notes:
1. Some users of Firefox or Mozilla have reported receiving error messages when trying to open some maps. These same maps open successfully using Internet Explorer.
2. Assessors’ maps are updated based on surveys, deeds, and recorded instruments as follows:
--We assume that a signed and stamped survey is correct unless a second survey is filed showing contradictory information.
--Parcels are split when new subdivisions and ANR surveys are filed and approved showing such split, even if no deed has yet been filed to that effect.
--Parcels identification numbers are merged as new subdivisions, deeds, and recorded instruments are filed that show merged parcels or other evidence that parcels cannot be divided. In addition, parcels identification numbers are merged when a property owner who owns two adjacent parcels so requests.
These maps are produced at 1"=100' (in urban areas) and 1"=200' (in rural and suburbanl areas) on 24" x 36" paper. Refer to the graphic scale bar for correct measurements on other size paper.
