USA Tennis Programs

The Northampton Recreation Department is a nationally recognized Tennis Welcome Center. Welcome Centers specialize in fast track programs designed to have beginners playing quickly.
We follow three basic principals:
*Learn to play tennis fast
*Get a good workout
*Meet new people and have a great time

The Recreation Department offers tennis leagues and lessons for both adults and children.


Group lessons begin in May, with sessions running through the end of September.

Class Descriptions

Tennis 1-2-3: Beginner class focusing on the basic strokes required when beginning to play the game. See Welcome Center Description.

Round Robin Doubles: 1.5 hours of round robin play. Doubles is emphasized but some singles may be played.

Intermediate Tennis Drills: A fast paced workout with lots of drills and games. Play situations, footwork, and strategy are stressed.

For: Ages 16 and over

USA Tennis Leagues

SINGLE AND DOUBLES LEAGUES

Dates:
Northampton Singles/Doubles Leagues
Monday, May 19-Friday, August 15

League fees:
Singles: $12/17/22/27
Doubles (per player): $6/10/15/20

Registration Deadline: Monday, May 12

League Jamboree
The Jamboree is for players who want to play in the league but have not done so in the past. It allows us to see these people play and helps us properly place them, by ability, in the league.

Jamboree Date
Saturday, May 10: 11:00am–12:30pm
Raindate: Sunday, May 11: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
