The Northampton Recreation Department coordinates usage of athletic fields for the City (except for High School teams).
There are various fees involved, depending on the usage.

To inquire or reserve a field for usage, please contact the Recreation Department at 587-1040, or recreation@northamptonma.gov. If times/dates are available, a field usage form will then be sent to you.

Pavilions at Maines Field and Arcanum Field are also available for rent. Call or email the Rec. Dept to inquire about availability. The fees and forms are below.

Maines Field

Maines Field, on Riverside Dr. in Florence, has many amenities, and the pavilion is frequently rented for parties and special celebrations.
It is the home of the only City lighted softball field. New lights were installed in 2009.

Arcanum Field Pavilion

The Arcanum Field Pavilion is available for rent.

With the financial generosity and hard work of the Northampton Lions Club, the pavilion was built in 2005 by the Parks Division of the DPW and members of the Lions Club.
