Northampton Community Garden

On the grounds of Smith Vocational High School. Go to the back of the campus, past the soccer field on your left, down the hill to your left.

The Community Garden is located on Burts Pit Road, just beyond the old State Hospital. It is under the auspices of the Northampton Recreation Department and managed by a Garden Committee

There are 7 acres of land dedicated to Community Garden. The site is improved with a tool shed, fencing, shrub hedges, a composting area and running water.

There are 420 plots measuring 20' by 20'. Registration is usually held on the last Saturday in March. Call the Recreation Department to confirm date and time, 413-587-1040.

The Garden is managed and maintained completely by gardeners. Each person contributes a minimum of 2 hours per year.
