Opportunities to get involved!

Parks and Recreation, the benefits are endless. We offer numerous opportunities for people to join our family of dedicated volunteers.

As a Recreation Department volunteer you will find satisfaction in being of service to the community, develop your interests, and make new friends.
Each year, volunteers give over 2,600 hours of their time to the Recreation Department community through coaching and other various programs!

We are in immediate need of the following:
Halloween Tricks and Treats
People are needed to help the day of the event, Saturday, October 16 at Look Park. Help is needed with oversight of bounce house line, the apple press, crafts projects, face painting, and more.

Coaches
Volunteers needed to coach the various divisions of our leagues. For information, contact Kathy Weston at 587-1040, or email kweston@northamptonma.gov.
We offer soccer, basketball, tball and coaches pitch baseball.

Also, volunteers are needed in various special events throughout the year. Email recreation@northamptonma.gov for info.

Skate Park Volunteers Needed

The Northampton Recreation Department is seeking responsible adult volunteers to open the Skate Park on various days during the week and weekend. The Skate Park will need to be opened at 10 a.m. in the morning starting in early April.
