The City of Northampton benefits from the volunteer talents and energy of over 300 citizen appointees who play vital advisory, regulatory, and oversight roles serving on city boards, committees, and commissions.

Mayor David Narkewicz is actively seeking applications from Northampton residents interested in filling current and upcoming vacancies on these important public bodies.

The Mayor is committed to making appointments, subject to review and confirmation by the City Council, that represent the diversity of backgrounds, experience, and viewpoints that make Northampton a strong and vibrant community.

*The Board of Registrars vacancy must be filled by a registered Republican

* License Commission members shall not be engaged, directly or indirectly, in the manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages, who have been residents of the city in which they are appointed for at least two years immediately preceding their appointment. One member shall be appointed from each of the two leading political parties and the third member may also be appointed from one of said parties, one current vacancy must be filled by a registered republican.
