Leaders and Jr. Leaders Summer Camps 2022

The Recreation Leader will work under the direction of the Program Supervisor and will be responsible for the children/campers enrolled in the program. They are responsible for the safety and supervision of the participants assigned to them in their group (Safety Village, Kidzone, Camp Hamp & Teen Expeditions) or for the entirety of the group. 

They are responsible for planning daily activities.

  • Qualifications
    1. Leader
      1. Equivalent of 2 seasons’ work experience in your related recreation activities; or 1 years of college, preferably recreation oriented. 
      2. Current standard first aid, CPR and Epi-Pen certification required. Training provided. 
    2. Jr. Leader
      1. Must be 16 years of age or over. There are no experience requirements, some experience with children preferred (babysitting, volunteer, etc.)
  • Work Schedules
    Safety Village: 20hrs week, Monday – Friday, July 6-August 12
    Kidzone, Camp Hamp, Teen Expeditions: 40+hrs week, Monday – Friday, June 28-August 12
    All Staff attend 2 days of Pre-Season Orientation
  • Compensation:
    • Leader: $15.34/hour,  2 Mandatory Pre-Season Training Days, No Holiday Pay
    • Jr. Leader: $14.57/hours, 2 Mandatory Pre-Season Training Days, No Holiday Pay
