Responsibilities
Housed in Climate Action & Project Administration (CAPA), the Energy and Sustainability Officer works to move Northampton toward more sustainable use of energy and significantly reduce the community’s greenhouse gas emissions in order to:
Protect Northampton from rising and unstable energy costs
Decelerate our impact on global warming
Improve our air quality and public health
Reduce the risks associated with Northampton's dependence on foreign sources of energy
Reduce the risks associated with dependence on diminishing energy resources
