About "TEX" Teen Expeditions

Enjoy a different outdoor adventure everyday in this exciting day program designed for your teenager!

Throughout the course of the summer participants will be exposed to a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, which are designed to heighten their appreciation for the outdoors and spark their natural curiosity.

Each morning the small group will head out in a different direction to go Rock Climbing, Hiking, Biking, Tubing, Orienteering, Swimming and additional exciting outdoor adventures.

  • For: Teens entering grades 7 - 10
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Registration for a session must be received by Thursday, the week prior to the session you’d like to sign up for, provided there are still openings.

Staff

Our fully trained and First Aid/CPR certified staff will lead the daily adventures. Teens are encouraged to participate to their fullest in each and every week. The program is designed for teens to strengthen their own values, expand personal confidence, encourage them to try new challenges, experience team work and develop group cooperation in a fun, safe and nurturing setting. We will also ask for teen input into the schedules once the expeditions begin.

Fees

All trips are included in fee. A $25 non-refundable deposit is included in the camp registration fee for each session registered for. All balances are due June 2, 2023.

Sessions Location

All sessions will start at JFK Middle School by the basketball and tennis courts. In the case of rain or bad weather, sessions will be relocated to meet inside at Smith Vocational High School. Please keep in mind that the trips and themes are subject to change. Sessions will be held at 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., some trips may vary. Check our cancellation/change page for where camp will meet, be and/or for pick up.
Your camper must be capable of riding a bike as bikes will be used weekly.
