NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Proposals for the following project will be received by the Northampton Department of Public Works until the date and time stated below, at which time the bids will be opened and read publicly. 

Contracts 2022 Sewer & Drain Repairs

This is a City funded project. 

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, May 25, Year at 10:00 AM, via teleconference with information to be distributed prior to the conference date. The purposed of this conference is to discuss any outstanding questions relating to the proposed work, the bidding procedures, or the required contract provisions.

Prospective bidders need to contact Felix Harvey at fharvey@northamptonma.gov for instructions to obtain Bid Documents and be included on the plan holders list, and receive information about the Pre-Bid Conference. Plans and Specifications will be available on May 18, 2022 after 9:00 AM EST.

Every bid for such contract shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the awarding authority. The amount of the bid guaranty is 5% of the bid.

Bids will be accepted by the Department until 2:00 PM on June 1, 2022. Bids shall be delivered to the following address:

This project is subject to the schedule of prevailing wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Division of Occupational Safety.

The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Payment and Performance Bonds.
